Please note that the course may include exercises and materials designed to challenge students to step outside their comfort zones.
This program is ideal for those looking to experience theatre directing
By the end of this course, you should be able to:
-
Understand how to block (shape) a scene through practical exercises.
-
Grasp character motivation, the use of actions and units, and integrate these concepts into your directing.
-
Work on and adapt a variety of plays.
Final Project
Students are required to create a detailed 'explanation book.' This book typically contains an in-depth analysis and interpretation of a play, including directorial concepts, character motivations, scene breakdowns, and production notes. It’s a key tool for directors to clearly communicate their vision to the performers and the production team during the staging process.

Once you’ve completed this program, you can explore more advanced directing workshops at NIPAI, participate in international festivals, or deepen your skills through specialized programs in acting or scenography.
